On station four miles west of Cape Mendocino California. The 128-foot vessel was built at the U.S. Coast Guard Yard,
Curtis Bay, Md., in 1950, and sereved as the San Francisco Lightship until 1968, when she was re-named Blunts Reef. (USCG)
